What is lactation consulting?
Lactation consulting is a specialized area of healthcare focused supporting breastfeeding mothers and their infants. Lactation consultants are professionals who provide guidance on various aspects of breastfeeding, including techniques, positioning, and troubleshooting common challenges. They help mothers understand the benefits of breastfeeding, address any concerns they may have, and create comfortable feeding experience for both mother and baby.
In addition to offering practical advice, lactation consultants also educate families about the nutritional needs of infants and the transition from breastfeeding to introducing solid foods. They ensure that mothers receive the support they need during the crucial early days of breastfeeding. Their expertise can be invaluable in establishing a successful breastfeeding journey, fostering a strong bond between mother and child.

Meet Our Lactation Consultant
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Meet Heidi, a dedicated lactation consultant with a passion for supporting new mothers on their breastfeeding journey.

Lactation Consultant
Heidi Reynolds, RN, IBCLC
Since becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) in 2012, Heidi has been passionate about supporting families through the perinatal period. While welcoming a baby is one of life’s most rewarding experiences, it can also feel overwhelming—especially when infant feeding challenges arise.

Heidi’s journey as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) began after the birth of her first child, Hudson, who was born with a significant tongue-tie. After navigating breastfeeding challenges with the support of skilled IBCLCs, she was inspired to shift the focus of her nursing career to helping families overcome their own feeding struggles.

Since then, Heidi has supported hundreds of parents and babies and has also gone on to successfully breastfeed her two younger children.
